From the time of admission to discharge the entire team said that the would look after me and they certainly did. The orthopaedic surgical team and Dahlia nursing staff are fantastic, friendly and attentive. The last time I was in hospital and had an over night stay was when I was born, so I was very nervous as to what to expect, the thought of an operation was terrifying. The surgical team described themselves as the A-Team an they certainly were.
All the staff happy and caring.
I liked the new reception area as its helpful and can get information.
Improvements.
Waiting times. I'm always late getting seen
I was seen promptly and the doctor spent time with me and allowed all my queries to be addressed.
The make over of the waiting areas is an excellent improvement.
There is very little lack of communication update you or to see. The patient after treatment the time that it takes to have a review is extremely long lover 6 months and this does not show care for the patients.
attitude towards seeing patients from the secretary was also patronising and not very concerned.
Having arrived at 10:45am for an 11:15am appointment, I am very unsatisfied with the process.I checked in at reception and then simply sat waiting in Base 4 for over an hour! Nurses or staff should keep patients informed of any delays. This would help with keeping my boss at work informed that I will be late back and give me the chance to calm down with a coffee.
Everything :-)
