I recently had a total knee replacement at James Paget Hospital by spinal block. I totally recommend it. I couldn't fault the care and treatment I received in the two days I was in hospital. I have remarked to friends that it was like 'a walk in the park', apart from the expected pain, but that was kept under control with pain management. The friendly, caring nurses and the ward atmosphere made it feel more like a social occasion. I thought the time would drag, but it actually flew by. I've just had my six week check with the surgeon, Mr Nahkla, who was brilliant and so skilled. Keep up the good work JPH.
