Hammersmith Hospital

I have had a benign Lipoma on my upper back for a few years now, and wanted to have it removed. I approached my GP...incidentally, I hadn't needed to see a Dr for years and I hadn't bothered with the NHS AT ALL for well over 3 Decades anyway. It was duly scanned at Hammersmith Hospital about 2 years ago and I was told later that skin Lesions of this type are not now covered by the NHS and that you have to pay in the PRIVATE SECTOR a STAGGERING FEE (in Harley Street about £600) for a prior examination and the Surgery which would have taken no more than 10 minutes. Back in 2006, following the sad Death of my Late Mother, I paid over £97,000 in INHERITANCE TAX to settle the Estate and to secure the Family Home and since then have made no Demands on local services AT ALL (such as Police/Fire Brigade/NHS). Under THIS LABOUR GOVERNMENT (and under previous Administrations of course too), this Country has truly GONE TO THE DOGS!

I paid for a private room but the fire alarm went off and on all night so I could not sleep. It would appear that the building is not properly looked after. Horrific experience.

The cardiac day care unit was absolutely amazing today ,their care and empathy was above and beyond , Especially Power the nurse who looked after me she surely was an angel in disguise and definately a hero that came along , Thanku to everyone .

I brought my daughter to see Dr. Chaban due to a persistent cough that wouldn't subside. He is truly remarkable. The appointment felt unhurried, and his gentle demeanor instantly puts any child at ease. We absolutely adore him. His clinic in 90Sloane Square is superb and clean . We deeply cherish him and are truly thankful for his care.

I suffered from a serious cardiac problem and was Taken to hammersmith hospital. I was treated immediately with much care and speed To resolve the problem that day to allow for follow Up work. The cardiac department were magnificent. The next day they fitted a pacemaker to resolve the Problem and after one more day was allowed home Less than four days had resolved a serious problem 6 weeks later the pacemaker was checked to ensure Everything was ok. The small team that carried out this task were very Professional and made me confident as to what Had had been done. Truly remarkably setup across the hospital and The people who work there

I was transferred to Hammersmith from Watford general after complications during a stent insertion procedure that did not quite go to plan. The treatment and care I received from the staff was first class, especially when one considers the strain the staff are under. To just say thank you seems inadequate in return for the care and dedication shown me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

They would be hard pushed to improve due to Appalling lack of staff. But still they provide the best possible care.

I was in the Cardiology Department for a day/overnight procedure. The Unit and staff worked quickly and efficiently and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The highly qualified medical team has worked tirelessly to reduce waiting times whilst maintaining their exemplary standards of care.

Very impressed by the cross departmental communication between renal and IR in part which had a very positive outcome on my care, and hence likely longevity!

I think that Hammersmith hospital is the best hospital in London, the doctors and nurses are very professional and kind and made me feel so comfortable throughout my time being there.
