I arrived last Thursday 5/11/20 for my appointment at Edgware hospital Day surgery unit. (I understood is a Covid free hospital, before attending I had a Covid test at chase farm hospital 3days before ) Morning of my appointment at Edgware hospital I was told I could not enter hospital & had to wait outside in the cold in pain because it wasn’t safe to come in ? When a nurse opened the main door to bring patient out I asked can I wait inside I have a appointment, she replied in a very loud voice shouting NO YOU CAN NOT COME IN ! I was quite shocked at her reply in this manner ,she shut the door &went inside, Another Nurse ( sister) opened the door without asking who I was or good morning she started shouting at me saying I need to be patient and wait until I’m called in ? This approach is unacceptable at anytime to any patient. I asked was she shouting at me ? Then asked her to give me back my appointment letter which she had in her hand, I never felt I would be safe being cared for in the hands of these staff after my treatment that were shouting at me on arrival. I took Name off the Sister Nurse who gave me my letter shut the door and went inside. I asked from outside at the window where reception was could I speak to my consultant please, to be told sister nurse Ann-Marie Williams said I can not enter the building until she & all her staff get an apology????? I seriously think this needs to be addressed it’s totally not acceptable, because I asked to come inside out of the cold IHAVE to apologise? At this stage I left to go home after paying £5.50 at the car park ! I also think the consultant Khaled Ayazi needs to know what’s going on when is patient are absent for their treatment.
