I queued in a&e, went through for an ECG & was verbally informed it was normal & ok.
I was sent to urgent treatment unit & looked at my ECG print out, & noticed that it said
'abnormal' & that I had 'probable left ventricular hypertrophy'. I sat in urgent treatment unit for half an hour & the receptionist said she couldn't find me on the system so I had to go back to a&e to 'sort it out & explain'. I had to join the back of the queue & when I spoke to the receptionist it came to light that the receptionist from urgent treatment unit was saying my name was 'Christopher Scott', clearly getting my surname mixed up with the surgery I'm attached to (Scott Practice).
I was sent back to urgent treatment unit & was then booked in, but an hour later it came to light that I was placed at the bottom of the queue! I couldn't wait around, for another 5hrs, so I left.
I called the unit later to ask if I could chance calling back later to see I'm still in the queue.
The receptionist was difficult & made out I was being abusive, when all I said was that she should've got my name correct.
I had an appointment at 4 and was seen straight away
I happy about your service
Pain relive denied has left me in pain
Speedy response. Got prescription for required treatment for uti. Much better than own gp service
7 hours waiting time is a joke. This is A&E and patient should be looked at much faster
Very knowledgeable and polite and also respectful regards my self care
I called 111 at around 11am and had been seen by a doctor and given treatment by 2pm. Great to see the NHS can still deliver an efficient and quality service.
The Doctor who attended to me was very rude and argumentative.
Professional and quick, very reassured
