Refused to get in touch with me evan though 111 had an urgent referral for me.
Left me in pain and distressed all day.
First time I called I got told I would be getting a call back after 6 hours, waited 8 hours and called again then got told I would get a call within 5 hours. Waited again and then had to call again to then be told that service is now closed. So had to go through the assessment for the 3rd time to then be told my own GP will call me in the morning bearing in mind my temperature was 39.7. So went to bed to then receive a phone call from the out of hours doctors asking me to come in for 11.30 at night, I was so confused as I was told there’s no available appointment but then I get a call. Had to apologise to my GP in the morning because he wasted his time to call me as he wasn’t told I had already been seen too. Even he said the whole process was bizarre’ lack of communication and messing poorly patients about.
I have many health problems, I’ve spent a lot of time in Rotherham DGH, Hallamshire, northern general, and Claremont. I’ve just moved to Doncaster for my son career pathway, I now have to use DRI, wouthput any doubt it’s the worst hospital I’ve ever used. What makes it worse is family have had to use it and it seems it’s been like this for thirty years. You send questions to help you improve but obviously nothing happens. I know a few nurses in other hospitals and Doncaster is nicknamed Donny Divert because they don’t like to get busy. I presume it’s this bad because you aren’t getting the finances you need so whoever that person is holding back the cash needs to use A and E and I after experiencing the chaos and apparent lack of training perhaps they will realize DRI is thirty years behind the other hospitals. I had to walk out of A and E a week ago, I’d been bleeding for forty hours and my GP sent me, the staffs behavior was so unprofessional I just went home and hoped for the best. My wife and I have said we will consider driving to rotherham hospital if it’s just a broken bone. I waited 10 hours for an X-ray a couple of months ago, I had a hematoma so huge the nurses and X-ray had to have a double take. So even with these obvious signs of trauma and my attempts to inform the nurses of my medical history which includes hypoadrenalism, 10 hours was the best you could do ??????
I have diabetes and COPD and heart failure and I was a bit worried about a pain in my ribs
I have a blocked ear with dizziness I live in Worksop I was booked a appointment by 111 emergency number then received a call from Doncaster treatment centre stating they won’t see me because I’m not from Doncaster area
Very friendly and efficient care.
I do not have a long standing condition
Brilliant service from beginning to end. After being told i would have to wait 2 weeks for a doctors appointment for something that was urgent. I had to other option but to call the walk in centre. They found me an appointment straight away for the next hour! I was 20 minutes late to the appointment, the staff were very understanding and got me straight through to see the doctor. The doctor was very kind and understanding, listened to everything i said and examined me. I was in and out in 15 minutes with a diagnosis and some antibiotics. Very impressed and exactly what you need when your not feeling well.
