Dr didn’t know what was happening and didn’t really explain anything he just kept disappearing and then came back and said sit there a minute in the waiting room then told me to follow him and he took me back to a&e and said that they’d explain what the plan is and just left me in a&e.

I presented at A&E in a massive amount of pain and was told that the wait would be 5 hours but I’d be free to try the Urgent Care Centre. As I was in agony I took this option. I ended up waiting there for 5 hours anyway for what turned out to be a limited service compared to A&E. whilst waiting I was vomiting and in agony so I spent 5 hours writhing around on the floor of a freezing cold toilet when I wasn’t actually vomiting. I was checked on by the staff member from reception and the person who eventually saw me was perfectly nice but I can say without hesitation that it was the worst night of my life.

If I’d have know the delay was going to be as long I would have stayed in A&E for a more in-depth service. Laying on a toilet floor for 5 hours was humiliating. There were chairs in the waiting area but there is no way I would have felt comfortable in them.

I was very happy with the service I received. I was treated promptly and my symptoms noted well by all staff that dealt with me. I was treated with care and respect and examined thoroughly by the doctor to assure me I was well. He put my mind at rest and offered suitable medication to treat my symptoms for the future.

Urgent care service was good however when I was transferred back to emergency I was told I’d have my initial queue place which wasn’t true. I spent 4 hours in the hospital and they had a record of 2hr45 and had no record of what the urgent care doctor had told me. Urgent care had told me I should have a CT scan and had confirmed it with an ED but 2 hours and 45 mins later I was seen in emergency by a doctor who didn’t know this and said they didn’t know how long I would be waiting for a CT scan. I left hospital due to this as I hadn’t eaten all day and the waiting area was hot with no fresh air and no updates on how long you would be waiting

Waiting time was terrible as there was only one doctor on. Didn’t really get any answers as to the problem I had as no investigation was talked about. Felt as though I was told to just do some shoulder exercises and then sent on my way

I would have liked a more in-depth investigation done as I felt my problem is getting worryingly worse. I was told to ring my doctors which I have been doing and can’t get an appointment

The service was extremely busy and I was seen about 45 minutes after my appointment time. However the service was great, I was treated with courtesy and respect, the staff were professional. I was seen in a timely fashion of which I am very grateful. Thank you.
