Advice from respiratory nurse to see doctor about breathing problems after bringing up blood has alredy on steriods and needed to be put on a reducing dose blown out of proportion not been able to access records Situation in doctors meeting causing high blood pressure The Situation to be blown out of proportion ending up 8 hours in AE Resulting in hospital not a clue what i was being admitted for ?asthma blood pressure coughing up blood or a breathing disorder blood cloot I was told is condition got worse to pull over and ring 999 for a ambulance All for the sake of following the advice of the respiratory nurse

The doctors seemed to believe from my description of symptoms that I had a bacterial throat infection. This is until they examined me and decided that it was actually just viral because they couldn’t see white spots in my throat even though I had said it felt further down my throat than they would be able to see. A few comments were made along the lines of ‘If it were bacterial it would present like …’ and these were things I had told them I was experiencing just before the examination. They took a swab anyway which took 5 days for me to receive the results of and of course it was bacterial (I had Strep throat) and I did indeed need antibiotics. I was very poorly for a week and still don’t feel fully better and if I had been diagnosed correctly I could have received antibiotics to treat me. Now I am awaiting an appointment with my GP to get antibiotics which will still take another couple of days. The doctors were very nice and kind but I think my diagnosis should have been able to be picked up and it has caused me undue illness.

I think I should have been prescribed antibiotics or at the very least the swab should have been tested much sooner so I could receive the treatment sooner.

There were only a couple of people in the waiting area. Receptionists were nice to deal with and my appointment was on time. The doctor was attentiveness clear about my diagnosis. The place itself was very bright and clean, which madd me feel relaxed

After speaking to my oncologist department a few days after, although the doctor said my illness was virul and suggested paracetamol, it was expressed that a course of antibiotics should have been prescribed as a cautionary measure due to the stage my cancer is at.

I’d just had a big operation and needed staples removing. My own doctor was unavailable due to tyre weekend and bank holiday and I was very uncomfortable. This clinic saw me quickly and efficiently removed the staples.

been a bank holiday I could not get antibiotics till next day . But it was a good visit grateful for the treatment
