I called my own doctors regarding feeling ill. I had cold symptoms and what felt like tonsillitis and had been over a week. I know how stretched everyone is at the moment so phone call / prescription would of been appreciated rather then a visit. However is was directed to the same day health centre and was advised by them to book in an appointment. At the appointment I was asked if I had seen a pharmacist and then told I needed to do that first. My partner called her doctors with the same symptoms and was prescribed medication over the phone. Seems like I wasted a day for nothing as didn’t get the appointment till 20:30 to then be told I needed to go to pharmacist

Phone advice a lot easier / quicker for clients and for staff if possible (like checking if been to chemist)

As a nurse specialist myself I understand the difficulties in obtaining adequate consultation rooms , however I could hear everyone’s consultation as patients are seated directly outside one of the rooms . Therefore my only criticism is that mine and other patients confidentiality may be breached slightly .

My own gp wouldn't see me (again) despite my obvious illness. As I was in intense pain with a raging ear infection I phoned out of hours and was straight in. Gp gave advise, reassurance and much needed antibiotics. A few days later as antibiotics finishing I was still suffering, again my own gp refused treatment so I came back to you. Again quickly checked, reassured and some ear spray given to attack the infection in two ways. Without OOH I would have been another person in A&E out of desperation for medical care not being given by GP. mire than once OOH have been there for me, fantastic service. Thank you.

Because I have asthma ???

1 hour 2 minutes to get through as I was 18th in the queue - would have been difficult to wait that long if I was at work However after the initial assessment I was given an appointment an hour later Seen on time and the Nurse Practitioner was excellent in every aspect of her care and knowledge

Over all my care was lovely but I suffer with anxiety and depression pretty bad and was not allowed someone in with me such a shame

Allowed someone to stay other people did I aknokadge they was elderly but still some of us young people need support to

I had breathing issues due to my asthma condition.

It was excellent service. I was examined by duty doctor and prescribed medication accordingly.

Really helpful both on phone and in the centre, doctor put me at ease. After trying to get seen at my own gp, I rang same day and within 1hr a doctor rang me back to arrange appt, which was literally about an hour later. If it wasn’t for this service I don’t know what I would of done.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided the staff on the phone and in surgery were very polite well mannered and helpful,a credit to the profession
