A receptionist called Allison thought it was appropriate to chat with a women about how to get home the proceeded to spend at least 7 minutes ringing taxi firms even though the patient had her own phone and had already tried 1 taxi firm. Her responsibility is to get people booked in ASAP as it is an EMERGENCY centre. 10 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to spend on unnecessary actions while people's life's are potentially in danger. I will be making an official complaint about this.
Laura was excellent in triage, and dr was great
All staff were very respectful and polite. Care given was fantastic from all parties.
DPOW is a fantastic hospital and I have always received wonderful service. DPOW is a fantastic hospital and an amazing resource for the Grimsby and Cleethorpes and surrounding areas

The 2 nurses that were working in the fit to sit area yesterday, where the nicest 2 nurses I have been looked after by. One was called Laura, and unfortunately I can’t remember the other nurses name. But they were lovely and very professional. It’s a shame all the nurses are not like that.
I had the longest wait ever waiting to see a doctor, from 20mins past midnight to 8am ( Monday 8th may) I went and spoke to reception, said I've now been sitting waiting for 7 hours 30 minutes ( all through the night) and still haven't seen a doctor, so I'm going home because I can't physically sit any longer, iam suffering from hemorrhoids that are bleeding, and the cream that was prescribed caused an horrendous rash inside my bottom, swelling burning, itching, so trying to sit on a small chair for that length of time was almost impossible,I understand that they have to prioritize who's seen first,I get that But where do the N H S draw the line at how long anyone is expected to wait !!! . so I signed a form at reception to be taken off the waiting list and went home, I have always supported the N H S but this shows the system's broken. I would be interested in reading your thoughts on my horrendous experience
The triage nurse at the reception was rude and unhelpful
The doctor was great
Vending machine hard to use
The staff dealt with me quickly and efficiently. They told me what they were doing and how long things would take. They were all caring and pleasant.
