The care I received in labour was good however the aftercare was terrible my baby wasn’t checked over properly by midwife, I didn’t receive adequate breastfeeding support which I feel directly caused me to fail at breastfeeding my baby. Staff were rude and unhelpful when ringing my bell for help when struggling and alone after labour.. example I dropped a dirty nappy on the floor, I was unable to walk unsupported or bend down so I asked for help, the staff member came in picked the dirty nappy up and put it on my table and said is that everything while walking out the room. I understand there are pressures but I feel that staff lack the basic care and compassion for new mothers, especially in times when family cannot be around to support,
My physio was caring, understanding and explained everything to me in clear detail.
Had a good relationship with heather and made the session fun.
Been given confidence to return back as near to full health as possible.
With the exercises suggested I could feel but each week my free was getting better.
Friendly, informative, clean covid safe.
I felt my initial assessment was clinical and lacked compassion with no empathy . After the nurses and doctors were excelkent
When arrived we was treated well and asked to wait
A nurse see us after a while
But was told 3 hrs for a doctor ,7 hours later still not seen , I understand it’s busy but seriously bad watching doctors doing nothing and sat talking
We were quick to be seen and all of the staff were lovely.
I felt safe with the excellent measures in place.
I was seen relatively quickly and sent for an x-ray straight away instead of waiting around in the AE room.
The nurse with my assessment was great and welcoming and gave me pain relief which helped a lot due to the long wait to see the doctor for my results.
The only downfall was waiting 3 hours to discharge.
The staff were very efficient and got to assess me quickly.
The Doctor was ok although she didn't go into to much detail about the impact of my injury.
I had to Google my condition on returning home.
Also I wasn't shown my x-ray so I had no idea what I had done or where my injury was in my lung.
I wanted to see my x-ray.
Overall a very positive experience.
Good work keep it up.
