The care my sister-in-law received was outstanding during her last days when she came home from hospital to die at home as her request.
The whole process well explained to me and making sure I do understand.
Nothing to improve because they're doing a perfect job.
The palliative care the patient received was exemplary and we could not have wished for better.
If organisations planning palliative care services anywhere used this patient's case as an example they would not go far wrong.
At each stage of the patient's illness the care and medication was really to cope with those alterations.
The patient was always very positive herself regarding all the "lovely ladies that looked after her".
"They are so kind, nothing is too much trouble".
Very friendly and professional nurse who explained in great detail as to the care and help with my needs for the future. Made me feel very comfortable talking to her. It wasn't all about dying and all the grief that goes with it.
The care received from hospice at home excelled all expectations.
Every member of staff who visited us treated my mum, me and my partner with great respect and offered a high level of support and advice. It's a shame there isn't more funding to increase staff levels and provide more frequent visits.
The support received was superb. We had a HCA who come to us daily in the last week of my mums life and she sorted a hospital bed, medication and also talked us through what to expect. She guided me on when to involve my children and provided booklets which she went through with us.
My only though was it was a shame this support isn't provided a littler earlier as struggling to cope with a family at the time.
You was very caring towards my husband all the way to the end of life.
We thought the overall care your team and other NHS nurses was excellent.
Made my wife's final days more bearable.
