Once the service 'kicked in" we were given all possible support from all departments - from the time the patient went into C.S for her review and stabilization to when she passed away. One thing we might say I suppose was that it might have been appropriate for hospice at home to have started a couple of days earlier? We were not really aware of the level of pain relief and the appropriate response to the symptoms the patient was showing and it is possible that we missed the opportunity to get her some relief earlier but this was just be grief making.

The care given was aimed at making the patient totally pain free and less restless. This made the last hours more peaceful for all. You cannot improve on perfection each and every person that came were wonderful but Lisa went above and beyond what was required of her.

This surgery has been addressed to someone who had not been a carer or lived at this address for 9 years. My father-in-law for which I cared for 9 years used the service. We lived together for those 9 years. I was unaware of your service as was our paid care assistant and my father-in-law's son (who had power of attorney). Unfortunately your service had been discussed at hospital with his eldest daughter who had disowned him 15 years prior and she did not share information. First we knew about you was when an appointment to visit was made and the lady explained it to us when she came out. Please make sure you are talking to those actually involved in the care.

The staff who took care of my husband was very attentive to his needs. He was enabled to die peacefully in his bed, without any pain, as he had wished for many months. The staff kindly enabled me to rest so that i was better able to cope with the inevitable outcome. Their car e for both of us was exemplary.

I felt the care given to my husband(the patient) and to myself and my family was excellent, they cared for him as if he were a member of their own family and his comfort was their prime concern.

Roxane is very thorough and careful. She listens and makes sensible suggestions. I am very happy with her care. She has arranged for support stockings to be available for me and could not have done more. Thank you.
