The care my husband has received and is still getting is excellent. Although the nurses have many patients to see and care for they always treat every patient with care and kindness and I can't fault any of them. The only way to improve things would be to try and get more volunteers to help the nurses and staff.

Very friendly staff. Always treated with staff. Always treated with dignity and respect. Family always involved in any decision making. Staff always there to help in any way they could, nothing was too much trouble.

The focus and professionalism of the staff I found excellent at all times. The staff also took time to listen - to answer questions and try to ensure everything was clean, they were also very obliging. Niggles included requests being forgotten, ie that cup of tea, or heated what bag and communication about what was actually available for patients like in the hospice itself. Where do patients disappear to at 11am. What manicure. Otherwise such a difference from hospital.

At a time of much anxiety and sadness the hospice at home team brought us compassion and much needed professional medical help. This was administered in a reassuring and gentle manner which helped beyond words in my wife's last days. Without this service I can't imagine how we would have coped. Having my wife at home allowed us the privacy and love to say goodbye as a family unit in surroundings where we all felt at ease. Thank you for all of your input.

My niece was given a blood test in the waiting room and the needles etc, tray was put on the floor. Which I thought was unhygienic, if there was not a bed available or room a proper chair with a armrest should have been given. A table should have been there so the doctor could put the equipment. The palliative nurses were very good, treated my daughter well at home through her life and death, with medication given and cleaning her.
