Review of Chiltern Crisis and Home Treatment Team
29th July 2024

By the majority of staff particularly Clare the psychologist, and her assistant, the other Clare. Additionally Olivia was a great help. Positive. I was helped to improve by Clare in particular. She cared a lot for me and listened to me well. She stopped me from being a total recluse and made me more aware of how OCD works . Olivia and the other Clare were also very dedicated to helping me. My GP and another Saffron House psychiatrist should have referred me to you a year ago, Instead of me using my initiative when I deteriorated via 111. I didn't like being ejected so abruptly though when I wasn't fully better. I appreciated every session I had with Clare and Olivia, and leaned something new each session. I am very isolated, and benefited greatly from the weekly sessions. I think I needed a support worker far earlier than when it was initiated. I had few sessions with Olivia. Sadly she never made it to my home to help me there. My physical pain in my legs began to worsen, making my OCD worse. Psychiatrist didn't care about my physical health, and didn't recommend a blood test. I used my initiative this week and discovered I have a vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency can make depression worse. He didn't analyse me in a holistic way, with his 20 years experience as he so proudly emphasised. My foot pains were worsening causing my OCD to worsen. Lack of Vitamin D causes muscle pain and bone pain. I'm upset by his lack of insight making me look foolish outside checking the ground Continously. Clare should also be able to prescribe anti depressants.. Too much reliance on this man that appeared superficial and dismissive to me. I am unable to write in your other boxes. You should have been able to provide me with a different psychiatrist, kept my appts with Clare until I was ready to leave and maintained Olivia seeing me. She could see I am in constant pain when out walking, and saw it worsening with burning feet. It wasn't initially a mental issue but made it so. i I was crying on the day I was booted out your service only to be told a week later there was no guarantee of a psychiatrist ever seeing Me at Saffron House during another assessment. Again I feel dismissed.

I was informed after a clash of opinion with The psychiatrist Dr Akinkunmi I had to be discharged as there were no other psychiatrists to help me. To date I've Been left without a psychiatrist. I still raging by his fixation on paroxetine. It made my ocd worse and deprived me of sleep. He kept on interrupting me as I spoke, and wasn't listening to Me properly. I had to repeat myself a lot as he kept getting confused to the extent I nearly lost my temper. I found him very sarcastic. He even said 10 mg was too little a dose when I disagreed. 20 mg was too strong. He refused to elaborate on the negative effects of paraxotine, a part from dry mouth. His meds gave me new worsening behaviours. I wanted to keep my psychologist appts, and Olivia but was told you had to discharge me as your service is short term. I have been waiting 7 years for a psychologist to the extent where I got worse and needed more help. I found this approach neglectful. Clare said these are your protocols. was upset at the abrupt end to all my help as in 2 months I will be getting help elsewhere.
