My 13 year old son had his booster immunisations this morning. I loved the way the health care professional acknowledged me but spoke specifically to him to confirm his details and who I was and then went on to describe what each injection would cover and why. She also showed him on the laptop the ones he had had as a baby and pre school so he understood the history of his records. Although as a parent I had chosen to consent to him having the immunisations, I felt that this was a great way to introduce him to understanding for himself what it means and how important it is to have them. So thank you.
