[name removed] and [name removed] have provided me with support and information in their roles as Carer Peer Support workers. It has been such a relief to realise that I am not alone and I am able to access many other types of support through their advice. Their recognition of my situation has supported my journey of knowledge and learning with the aim of being able to cope/keep some things for me for my own sanity. The Simaritans have stopped being a point of crisis contact.

Suggested improvements
I think this support is necessary and invaluable. I felt hopeless and constantly on the verge of breaking down before this support was suggested by a psychiatric nurse who evaluated my daughter. There are only around six meetings. Whilst this may generally work to help someone like me, perhaps a further review at 6 months might be beneficial for carer and the service?
