Home birth was a fantastic experience again.
Very fast labour and birth which I found a little stressful but the midwife was amazing. (Diane Cole) calm, friendly and reassuring.
I felt in-charge of my birth and after in the first hours of her life. Diane seemed to find a brilliant balance between controlling the situation and taking a step back allowing free movement etc. It was also lovely to have a known midwife (she did my back in appointment and previous pregnancy), don't know if going to get that in hospital.
Everything.
I know it's difficult with holidays, PDU cover etc but it would have been good to see the same midwife throughout my journey, I saw a different midwife on at least 4 or 5 occasions for my regular visits.
Care was reliable and v. informative.
All my needs were looked after at all stages of the process. Guidance was given at all times and I have been made aware what to expect throughout.
Liz was very easy to confide in and offered great advice. She was a great comfort during a difficult time.
