My mother was completely satisfied with her treatment. The staff were very kind and coped well with her deafness. I witnessed the same positive approach towards other patients being given the same treatment and am grateful for what we received, not least because of the pressures that NHS staff are working under.
very efective treatment
Good
The Occupational Health Therapist John Whyte had an excellent listening ear. He definitely asked the right probing questions. He delved sufficiently into my past to obtain a decisive viewpoint into which is the right pathway to direct me to next.

All of the midwives I've seen since my initial appointment have been lovely, professional, yet friendly, real and compassionate. Sadly, I've never seen the same midwife twice, but I feel totally fine about it, as they've all been great, and have all been honest. I understand they are under enormous amounts of pressure, but I feel like they all deal with it amazingly well, and never let this get in the way of great care and patient experience. The only thing that I've found difficult so far in my pregnancy is being classed as a 'late booker', because the midwife who was off sick wasn't able to get me booked in for a timely 12 week scan, which has resulted in me being referred to a consultant for induction if baby hasn't made an appearance by the due date. Other than that, everything has gone smoothly, and my partner and I now feel as prepared as we possibly can at this stage to approach labour and birth (we think!) Thank you to the wonderful NHS for making this process really special for us both so far x
Listening and provided support without judgement
I was completely immobile when first returning home after my surgery and I received excellent care from each team member that came to visit. They provided me with the aids I needed and helped me with advice and the care I needed. They gave me massive encouragement with each bit of progress I made and their positive attitude spurred me on to keep exercising and improving.
Their excellent care meant that I was able to return home rather than have to go into a rehab centre and for that I am eternally grateful! Thank you to each and every one that came to care for me!
