Because of the speed of midwive arriving to look after you. Very friendly and did everything to make baby and me (mum) comfortable and safe throughout. A very personal experience which you can't get in the hospital, which is sterile even in the attitude

You are in your own house where you are most comfortable and relaxed. No transfer to hospital during labour which can be uncomfortable and slow down labour. No bright lights or intimidating enrollment of hospital. Have a shower / bath after birth and sleep in your own bed makes the transition to having a baby to look after less daunting. Overall allows you to take more ownership over the birth that you want
