The nursing care received was exceptional
The consultant was lovely, the anaethetist was very kind , all the medical staff were good. The nurses were outstanding, so caring , nothing was too much for them. The physios were good.
The cleaners were friendly and the waiters and food staff very pleasant.
I like the notice board in the bedroom as it does get confusing with so many different nurses and I like to call them by their first name.
The 2 porters who helped me out were lovely and funny.
Please thank all the staff who helped me recover after a silly accident.
Kindness, empathy and professionalism of the staff
All the personnel from reception to doctors were kind, helpful and answered all my questions.
I couldn’t fault my time in Grosvenor place
We were told about 1 hour after the procedure that anti-biotics would be needed and they would get them from the pharmacy. this was at 10.30am and we had to wait over 2 hours as the pharmacy was 'very busy'.
This is unacceptable for a private institution.
We did ask whether we could just get a prescription to take to a local pharmacy but were told that this was not possible as it was already in the system.
You cannot expect an 87-year-old man with dementia just to sit and wait this long.
The hospital needs to sort this out and give people the option to take a prescription home with them if there is a massive hold-up in the pharmacy.
