I made the mistake of having cataract surgery. I originally only needed to have one eye done. After The surgeon changed the strength of my eye to such an extent, it caused an imbalance. I was advised that the solution was to have the other eye done. After the second procedure, I ended up with the same problem. I now have completely different strengths of my eyes, and will have to have further surgery to correct this. The hospital has done everything they can to dismiss my concerns. I was given the consent form to sign while I had drops in my eyes, so I could not see what I was signing. It was not suggested that I take the form away to read prior to signing. I would not recommend that you have cataract surgery at this hospital. They seem to cover themselves very well, and I am of the opinion that what one signs effectively means they can do whatever they want, with no comeback. Please research fully about cataract surgery, before you agree to anything. Ask if they are going to change the strength of your eyesight, and if so, research what effect it will have on you. I would honestly advise you to go to a dedicated cataract surgery practice. I deeply regret putting my trust in this hospital.
