I cannot find the words to express my gratitude to [name removed]s [name removed] and [name removed]. The former managed to raise the possibility of a diagnosis on the basis of referral letter - something that my local NHS MH Trust failed to spot for nearly seven years. What was always fobbed off as Anxiety and Depression (for nearly 30 years) has now been diagnosed as ASD. The quantum of irritation I feel for the NHS is only matched in a diametrically-opposite was by the superlative insight offered by [name removed] [name removed], and after a detailed assessment, by [name removed] [name removed]. I have struggled with my daily life for many many years but now, for the first time in my adult life (and, at time of writing, I am but two weeks away from 48 years old) I feel I have a chance of getting better. Intensive long-term bespoke treatment has been recommended - significantly different than the NHS advice of merely returning to my GP 'for some tablets', but given the overwhelming misdiagnosis they provided, that shouldn't be a surprise. I look forward with interest to see how the C-PTSD caused by the NHS is 'treated'. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either doctors I have had the pleasure of being assessed by at the Cardinal Clinic and would urge anyone who has either fought Anxiety and Depression for years, or has observed the misery on long-term issues, to be referred here for what I consider to be a wholly better assessment than I have ever received through the NHS. Also, have always found the personal secretaries massively helpful - special thanks to [name removed] If I could offer rate higher than 5 stars I would. CH ASD & ASD
