It was a great programme for what I needed with small groups of people facing similar difficulties. The therapists teaching the classes were excellent at reading the overarching challenges the group or that individuals were facing and then tackling them in the sessions. The link with my psychologist and psychiatrist throughout and after has been amazing. I really have benefitted so much from being at the Cardinal Clinic and I am so grateful for the care I continue to receive from the assertiveness evening class to my sessions with my therapist. I have recommended the Cardinal Clinic to several people already. Suggestions for the day clinic would be on the logistics. When starting it's not clear what role the key worker plays or who is organising the psychologist and psychiatrist meetings. It can be hard to handle those types of things when depressed and in reality, they should be established from the day the person starts, not having the first therapist session two months later with a bunch of confusion throughout.
