Being diabetic and seventy five years of age I was worried that they might not agree to carry out my hip operation. I listen to the advice that was given to me before the operation like loose weight, so joined Slim World and lost well over a stone. Everybody at the hospital acted in a very professional manner, and seven weeks after my operation I was well on the road to recovery, and did not need crutches to get about after short time. Yesterday I was able to go for a fairly long walk with no discomfort whatsoever. I am very thankful to Mr Wronka and his team that carried out my operation and all the staff at St Edmunds.

From the moment I walked through the door I felt very welcome even though I was an NHS patient in this private hospital. Every staff member that I had contact with were very friendly and kind and I was very well looked after. My partial knee surgery was undertaken at the hospital and I cannot fault any of the care that I received from all of the staff. I was only in for a day but had the pleasure of two meals which were amazing!

Having used the BMI a considerable number of times over the last 4 years, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and surgeons. The care is of the highest quality and the staff are friendly positive and engaging.

I have been an inpatient in the past and received excellent care except for one occasion when two nurses were chattering all through the night, keeping me awake and were very rude when I finally mentioned it to them. More recent times I have been an outpatient. The consultants I have seen have been excellent. But on one occasion I checked in at reception and sat waiting for over an hour, I finally asked when I could expect to be seen. After about another quarter of an hour I was told that the consultants clinic had been cancelled and he wasn't in the building!! On another occasion shortly after the above, I was again waiting for a long time. This time after I enquired, it transpired that another patient with the same surname had gone through and the nurse assumed I had been seen.

Outstanding and high level professionalism. Clean, friendly , very well staffed. Incredible care and attention given to you as the patient, before , during and post op. Very well informed from dining to operation to aftercare. Really nice little touches too like warm heat blankets in recovery room, and fantastic menus. I can't compliment this hospital enough. From the lady who came in to clean the room , the catering manager, reception, the nurses, porters, surgery team and consultants - all superb.
