My injury was dealt with by the, minor Injuries Service at the Windrush Medical Practise.
They were very polite and very efficient in their process. There were patients who refused to wear masks and one patient who bullied his way to the front. He was dealt with quickly though he had no injury, but a rash.
The nurses and doctors who dealt with me were thorough and showed concern for
my injury and taking no chances, I was ex-rayed. I was not treated by being in first and there were others who came in after myself with serious issues far greater than mine and were dealt with as priority as it should be. This was a service that used their experience to get the job done in the right way. I salute their professionalism in difficult times.
I feel very upset after my appointment with the nurse practitioner Sara Driscoll. A comment was made with the amount of time that it took me to arrive in the room. I left holding back the tears and I felt as though she was treating me In a disrespectful way and only thought I was there for antibiotics. I needed advice and for my symptoms to be checked not made to on the edge of crying. I was spoken down to and made to feel like I was time wasting. I was also told to not follow instructions on a over counter tablet and the pharmacy advice was wrong and also the instructions on the tablets were incorrect. So I have left feeling very upset and even more confused then before I have arrived.

Long waiting times to see your named GP
Sometimes the receptionists are a bit abrupt in their manner but I can imagine it's because they are rushed off their feet. I hope they get more help so that they can attend everyone in a timely manner. They are very helpful when it comes to advice, they suggested I see a nurse for my condition instead of a GP, which meant being seen sooner.
I love the online appointment system and the kiosks which register your arrival at the surgery.
