I find the fact that you are able to talk to the doctor on the phone very reassuring without spending time travelling. Often reassurance is all that is needed.

Needs to be better hand hygiene.did not carry out 5 moments of hand hygiene. Curtain was pulled but not across to hide door. There was missed opportunities to carry out health promotion. Lack of questions relevant to presentation was would be particular to screening. Missed opportunity in domestic violence screening.

I don't like having to touch a screen that other, ill people have touched. It's unhygienic. I don't like the triage system of having to justify on the phone why you need an appointment. The doctors and nurses are fine, although I think there could be more joined-up thinking about doctors taking bloods rather than having to come back for a nurse appointment. I would also like to be emailed the specific figures for blood tests.

Whilst generally very happy with the service, there are drawbacks to the system where you can't make an appointment to come into the surgery to sit down and have a face to face consultation with the doctor. There are some things that I would just prefer to discuss in this way rather than via a phone call. It can also be hard to ensure privacy when the doctor calls back, so I can feel inhibited in having some discussions over the phone. Overall, the system where you speak to the doctor by phone the same day is excellent for urgent / minor things but I would like to not feel like I was causing a problem by asking for a face to face appt, or having to go through everything on the phone just to ask for one, so an option to do this for more chronic conditions would be helpful.

On two occasions I have been in a queue on the phone for 10/15mins then get hung up on. They should offer a telephone appointment and not INSIST on it they always try to get us to go to the pharmacy instead of being seen by a doctor and it's hard to explain the problem/describe child's symptoms over the phone, also my mum had a mental breakdown so I had to try arrange an appointment for her the doctors refused to see her unless she had a phone appointment which my mum wasn't capable of and it took a week for her to get the courage so then she was finally seen and signed off work for 3 months. Our whole family are considering changing surgeries as the new system is rubbish.
