Did not need receptionist today. Long wait for appointment but appointment itself was an excellent consultation.

The physio, [name removed], was very helpful. He asked lots of questions and gave me clear advice.

Suggested improvements
Possibly an earlier appointment - it was not an urgent care issue but I had to wait 3-4 weeks to see the physio.

Haven't seen a doctor since 2019! Always a nurse or a physio or a telephone conversation ..usually 3 weeks after I phone for an appointment.

Suggested improvements
When I phone with diverticulitis don't say I can see a doctor in 3 weeks time.. that's not helpful or practical. Doctors need to be more available when symptoms present so a swift diagnosis and treatment can be made. Also when I ask for a repeat prescription of a rescue pack medication don't let me wait 3 weeks to speak to the pharmacist so he can ok what I have already agreed with my doctor.

Decision making and patient involvement excellent, friendly, helpful staff, especially the receptionists who are very understanding and helpful. Sadly, the amount of time to see a doctor for a routine appointment is too long... (almost 8 weeks) likewise the option of a telephone consultation is too long...(6 weeks) For a patient who does not need or visit the GP often, but when I need to it would be helpful to see someone within two weeks ... Given the option the phone on the day, but reluctant to take up emergency appointments... Sadly I feel that many patients will fall through the same 'net' in not pushing or taking emergency appointments as does not seem fair, but maybe diagnoses or treatment is adversely delayed. Hopefully things will improve generally in GP practice nationally, as the quality of staff here is excellent.

Suggested improvements
See above.. The practice is set up to see patients as an emergency or months in advance, there is no middle ground for the 99% of patients requiring consultations for help, advice or referral.
