A lovely experience with [name removed] the asthma nurse, however I had to wait 3 weeks for a face to face appointment that was requested by the surgery due to the answers I gave on the online asthma form. It is SO difficult to get an appointment at the surgery, even over the phone and this needs to be rectified.

My appointment was cancelled via text message with 10 minutes notice.

While I appreciate staff illness happens my appointment at 8:10 should have a little more notice if cancellation. I can’t believe you didn’t have more notice than that. At the very least a phone call should have been made to advise with that little time before appointment.

I rang in advance to explain about the special bottle required for my thyroid antibodies

It wasn’t available
The hca was really embarrassed
The receptionist said she’d passed the message on
I’ve now got to get my blood taken again
This happened last time so I really tried hard to be sure it was right

Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
