The process of making an appointment is not difficult, but appointments have to be made too far in advance
Only needed to make appointment for annual review so very easy as not urgent. Cannot comment about other appointments as last one made pre pandemic.
Having left hospital after a two week stay following an emergency bowel operation I required daily wound dressings. [name removed] instructed me to contact my surgery to arrange same! I was unable to get an appointment for three weeks which was yesterday ! I was hoping that from now on in I would be able to arrange appointments with the surgery but my next appointment is 14th Dec - another three week wait!
In the meantime I have to go to WCH for dressings
Can be long delays for appointments.
On this occasion I managed to get an appointment with a Doctor on the same day.
The doctor was friendly, considerate and spent time discussing likely caused and implications. Arranged for blood tests to ensure no serious underlying causes. A positive and reassuring experience on this visit.
The James Cochrane Practice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
