Most receptionists are very sympathetic and helpful but not all.
Ringing at 8 usually works OK but routine appointments can be a while off. I’ve had several appointments recently. One ‘phone and tow f to f. All were conducted professionally and were very helpful including arranging follow up hospital tests and also a specialist follow up. We feel lucky to have such a good service as we start getting older.
Suggested improvements
Occasionally I feel that the Care Navigators are a bit obstructive although I fully understand the reasoning. Usually no problem.

Went for a health check, no need for decisions by me. Surgery was clean, receptionists were very helpful, friendly and polite and getting an appointment is easy; might have to wait a bit until the appointment but getting it is usually easy enough.

Not much, shorter waits for appointments.

The IT/Computer system was down and the receptionist was fantastic in handling the situation!! Didn’t get the lady’s name but she was very calm and helpful with everybody she spoke with.

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
