I saw Dr [name removed] who is a very professional and empathetic man. I was given an appointment fairly quickly (about a week) which suited my condition.

I am aware from family members that appointments are becoming more difficult to access in a timely (pre COVID) way but that was not my experience. I was dealt with as described above.

After receiving a reminder for my appointment I turned up 10 minutes early & tried to use the booking in system but was told it couldn’t find my appointment. I went to the reception desk and was told that my appointment had been cancelled! When I said “who cancelled it, as it wasn’t me”? I was told that it was cancelled online but that there was no record of the person who had cancelled it, was I sure that I didn’t cancel it! Why would I cancel the appointment & then turn up for it? I then had to cancel the follow-up appointment as there were no blood test appointments available until after the follow-up! TWO WEEKS LATER!

My appointment was cancelledn5 mins before it was due. I was already in my way when someone phoned to cancel and I couldn’t take the call as I was driving.

Given me an earlier notification that my appointment was going to be cancelled.
