Lovely Dr - went above and beyond.

Toys out in the room where babies and toddlers can see, coming into the room to help them feel
Less anxious. Toys in waiting area. Stickers? Appt was for my toddler.

It took 3weeks to get a proper (face to face) appointment. Following the appointment I’m now on an urgent referral for further tests. If I’d been seen straight away those tests would now be complete and hopefully I’d have peace of mind or at least have started treatment, but I’m still waiting.
However the young GP trainee was excellent.
Suggested improvements
Stop the ridiculous telephone appointment system and hire more doctors to the practice.

Very satisfied with the care and experiences I have had on the last few occasions at the Helm Chase Practice.
Lovely friendly doctors who were thorough and professional.
Suggested improvements
Sometimes getting in on the day you ring can be difficult and it's always a case of ringing at 8am promptly or the queues get long.

My apointment was for blood test, BP etc. The surgery contacted me to arrange the appointment and the wait was not long at all

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
