There is a three week backlog for taking blood for tests. Assuming this is stable and not increasing, what would happen in industry is to work down the backlog once and for all through working extra hours and then maintain a service that can offer tests straight away or within a few days, rather than maintaining a service where everyone always has to wait three weeks, then a week for results. A great plus on this visit was the nurse being able to offer a 'flu jab straight away, since I had to cancel my appointment due to getting Covid. This has saved me a visit and saved the practice some time. Very efficient. More of this please!

Suggested improvements
Couldn't give me an appointment to discuss my results. I will have to ring up in two weeks. The email triage that you operated during Covid was brilliant. Then you can decide who you need to see and on what timescales. This seems to have gone back to ringing up and phone queues for appointments. Not good when you are feeling poorly.
