I came for blood tests that were due 4 weeks after the first blood tests, these ending up being 6-7 weeks after as my appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues. The lady taking my blood found it difficult to make and maintain conversation which didn't help with anxiety levels. I've had my blood taken three times and no one has told me why they were monitoring them in the first place. I haven't been asked if I have any symptoms so how can anyone make an effective diagnosis without speaking to the patient?

Speak to your patient!! Ask if they have any symptoms or concerns, explain what you're doing and why you're doing it.
