I phoned at 8am and waited in the queue, the care navigator was unable to provide an appointment for my 6 year old that was a time sensitive issue. I was told to go to the hospital or ring 111, the hospitals are at crisis level and I should be able to book an appointment with my own GP practice when I call first thing in the morning but due to the care navigators deeming the issue none urgent I didn't get my 6 year old an appointment. Their process is not appropriate as it should be triaged case by case by a medically trained professional.
