I was given treatment on 20th July for skin damage of 4 weeks cream 4 weeks off before going back for reassessment but couldn't get the return appointment and had to wait another 3 weeks. I've now been referred to a specialist on an emergency 2 week basis. When I called to make my return appointment I was told there was nothing available that day and to call on the day at 0800. I did this the next day (13th September) and was told it was only a routine appointment and I'd have to book, the next available was 4th October. Now I am worried (and annoyed) that the extra 3 weeks wait might be important, hopefully not of course.

See above. I doubt the reception staff are qualified to decide if something is routine or not but in any case they got this one wrong.
