As with other surgeries nationwide it isn’t always possible to get an appointment within a few days although recently it has improved
I was offered an appointment for a blood test the following day. The call handler was easy to talk to and polite. I was a few minutes late but was told it was fine. I explained I can be difficult to draw blood from so he used a thinner needle and a slightly different technique, was lovely to talk to as well as involving my daughter in conversation.
I got through to the surgery without being on hold for too long & was given an appointment with my GP ie Dr Marco the same day. Dr Marco then arranged further tests & a follow up appointment. Much appreciated. Thank you. Lorrie Lyons
I phoned, I was the second caller in line, only waited a few minutes and was through to reception. I could have selected a face to face or a telephone call, I chose a telephone call at a convenient time. Excellent service.
It depends if you need a same day appointment, sometimes it’s a long wait in the phone queue to speak to reception. Recently I rang to get a same day appointment and I was lucky to be next in the queue but then I got cut off and by the time I rang back I was 17th in the queue and waited approximately 45 mins. I was directed to the pharmacy which was fine except they charged me £9.65 for eye ointment but I’m entitled to free prescriptions, but because I didn’t have a prescription from the surgery they made me pay for it. I find it pretty easy to book appointments for a later date though both on the phone and at reception.
