I was asked to provide a urine sample and sent to the appropriate loo. Unfortunately it wouldn’t flush. Not what you expect from a NHS establishment! Otherwise I’m very pleased with the help I’ve received in the last couple of months. A question about my health was discovered and resolved quickly even though it involved two procedures/investigations. All done promptly
The receptionists are abrupt have no empthany or neither do they actually listen to you. Doctor had said in the last appointment I had 2 weeks previously he would up the amount of certain tablets. However when I went in there 2 days ago for this prescription the snotty miserable receptionist said I would have to phone for them. I rang another unempathic employee told me I would have to ring back after 1pm. That's no good to me my lunch break was over and I had to get back to work. I always find you are met with obstacles trying to either get a routine appointment prescriptions. The front facing staff are rude miserable show no empthany if the job makes them that miserable find something else don't treat patients as second class citizens as they are no better than anyone
Lived in Newport for 35 years and found everything about st Julians medical centre first class. Very caring.
Receptionist was rude unhelpful and lacked empathy and compassion
Refused to phone ,email prescription to Chemist
Until I told her this had been done previously
This person should be kept away from dealing with patients
Or patients families
I had reason to see a doctor quite urgently today. I phoned and there was only one call in front of mine. The Receptionist was really helpful and polite and arranged for me to see Dr Yule at 10.40am. Dr Yule saw me only a few minutes later than my appointment. From the time I walked in to the time I left I was treated with the utmost respect and understanding. Dr Yule listened to me, considered my symptoms and prescribed the appropriate pills etc. I have been a patient since the practice was on Caerleon Road and luckily rarely have the need of a Doctor. However I found the medical centre just as friendly personal and professional as it was when it was that smaller surgery in Caerleon Road. No complaints from me just credit where it's due
