Things have now got even worse at this surgery which was so good when Dr Fairlie was in charge It is now no longer possible to book an appointment days or weeks in advance.You can only join the queue on the phone at 810 when the lines open for the limited number of appointments on the day.A complete lottery and contemptuous of the patients!

This surgery used to be brilliant but since the retirement of Dr Fairlie it has gone dowhill. Some of the numerous receptionists are not at all patient centred and try to fob you off so you can't get an appointment. The opening speech on the eletronic recording encourages you to go anywhere rather than bother them and some receptionists refuse you an appointment if you won't tell them what is wrong. Totally unacceptable. I work and have difficulty fitting appointments in but I have not been offered a Saturday appointment as advertised on their website. If you can't get an appointment they just tell you to phone back or go to the drop in centre a few miles away. Where is the care? I have waited 25 minutes on the phone only to be told they only had 6 appointments available and they had all gone. So what has gone wrong? I have been at this Doctor's more than 30 years and it has never been like it is now. If you do get offered an appointment they ask you your date of birth not your name. It is now a completely depersonalised service. and everyone it seems is just a number. To be fair if you do get to see someone they are usually ok but there is no continuity and no information. You are not asked which Dr you would like to see or even told who you will see if you are lucky enough to get an appointment. Those of us registered with Dr Fairlie haven't been informed of his reirement or who we are now registered with. I get the distinct feeling that patient participation is now an alien concept at this surgery. Very sad.

Something has gone terribly wrong with this surgery in the past year - before I would have given 5 stars throughout now I would not recommend it to anyone.
