I was actually running late due to gridlocked traffic and the receptionist I called was extremely helpful and let the doctor know. He kindly allowed me to take my appointment 15 mins later than planned.

Very busy so by 08:30 all appointments for day taken, then to plan in was more difficult so I ended up delaying appointment as not urgent but not ideal

Park Surgery is a great surgery. The reception staff are always very polite, friendly and helpful. I find it hard to get an on the day appointment by phone if it is urgent. Despite ringing at 8am when I get through there are always many people in front of me in the queue. By the time I get through having waited half an hour the appointments are gone. It is not easy to get into the surgery at 8am due to already being at work. We are registered with Dr Rattan and we often have to wait several weeks for an appointment with her. I find that there are not many on line appointments for her and they are usually at times that are not suitable due to being at work or needing an after school appointment for my son. However I understand that this is because she has a large patient list. The only way to get an appointment with her is to ring and make a bookable appointment but we usually have to wait several weeks. I could get an appointment with another GP however if our symptoms are not urgent I would rather see Dr Rattan. It is helpful to have telephone slots, where there have been times I have needed to talk to her e.g about medicine but have not needed to take up an appointment. Dr Rattan is a lovely doctor. You feel as though she really knows your medical history even though she has many patients. On several occasions she has gone the extra mile for myself and my son. she is everything you would want in a GP, knowledgeable, kind, caring, sympathetic, an excellent listener and very appproachable.

I did get to see my doctor but I had to make the appointment 3 weeks in advance.
