I had to wait a couple of weeks to see my GP, but it was not urgent and I understand that all the doctors are very busy.

Getting an appointment by telephone can be a nightmare. Will try the new online service in future. Reception staff are very good but can only offer dates that they have free on the system. Having to wait for two weeks plus for an appointment is not acceptable.

It is often extremely difficult to get through to the surgery by phone, even later in the day, when it is not unusual to be left in a queue for a very long time. It is quicker to drive down to the surgery and make an appointment in person!!! There needs to be either a better phone system, or more receptionists. The receptionists are always very helpful, but there needs to be a better way to get through to speak to them. My doctor is routinely running up to 45 minutes behind schedule, which is poor, but I suspect this is due to his care and concern for his patients.
