A ring back service for appointments, as waiting for your turn in a que is difficult if you are unwell.
I have had several appointments in the last few weeks. I was pleased with my initial appointment with Dr Eugene and my scan appointment was changed to a more convenient time without any problems. The scan appointment itself was about half an hour late but I was satisfied with the consultation.
My recent blood test was at half past eight so I could get to work in Crawley but the appointment was about 15 minutes late which was very disappointing. It is quite frustrating to see patients who are probably not of working age taking the early appointments as because I do not work in Horsham I have to take time off and the earlier appointments are much more convenient.
Excellent service from an excellent GP, who has cared for me and my family for many years. Also supporting staff. The only issue I have is the time it takes to get another appointment. I would like to discuss the outcome of some recent tests with my own GP and cannot get an appointment for a month after the initial one. I realise it is now the school holidays, which may be the reason; he is also very popular. Its non-urgent so I don't feel I can justify phoning each day. Also this means getting on the phone first thing in the morning - promptly - and keep dialling/hanging on until I get through only to find that dozens of people have beaten me to it!
Would like to be able to book appointments in advance instead of having to phone up at 8am on the day to be put on hold for ages.
My appointment was with Janet the nurse and she is always caring and interested in what you are saying. She is extremely helpful with lots of knowledge.
