My appointment was following surgery and therefore I was given the dates as set by the hospital on the discharge letter . The service and care provided by all staff was excellent . However I have just gone into the surgery to make an appointment to see the nurse to check the remaining dressing on my neck and have been told the next available date is the 4 Th August . As my appointment at Hammersmith hospital to see the consultant following surgery is the 2 nd AUgust I have been unable to get to see the nurse before that date and therefore will have to be left to be checked by the consultant at the hospital in 7 days time !

I would not recommend Park Surgery to anyone - Currently, and it appears to be getting worse, you have far more patients than the existing 17 Doctors can cope with. I estimate that the ratio between Doctors and Patients to be approaching 23% out of balance (weighted across all age groups and lifestyles). A similar situation exists even with secondary care responsibilities of the in-house nurses. The car park is of course a ridiculous situation being occupied by staff and deliveries to the pharmacist and approximately 35 - 40% of spaces are occupied by non patient motorists. All Doctors, nurses, admin and receptionists are great but under 'unrepairable' conditions so everyone associated with visiting and working at Park Surgery suffer and the service is therefore only about 65% effective to satisfy the 'Charter/Mission Sttement in hand.

Booking an appointment on-line is easy, but to see my 'own' doctor usually means at least a 3 week wait. You can't always get an appointment on a day with anyone if you start telephoning at 8.00 because the queue is too long. I always feel listened to at an appointment.

It has taken me two months to get a routine appointment and I have been 'fobbed off' by reception staff who have been little short of rude to me. It is important that the practice trains its reception staff to identify those patients who are in greater need of a GP consultation and to ensure that that happens in a timely way.

I have had a dreadful experience here so far. The GP I saw on my appointment was good-what a relief, but it has taken me almost 2 months to get a routine appointment, having been 'fobbed off' by reception staff. You need, as a practice, to wake up to mental health as well as physical health needs.
