I am fairly new to this Practice and after being at my last surgery in London for 40 + years found it very refreshing to telephone for an appointment and actually receive one. And after my 1st appointment Dr. Khan made my next appointment for the following week when my results would be returned. And they were. I have not received this service for a very long time and I am impressed.

We moved a few years ago from another Practice in Horsham and I have been very impressed with Park Surgery. The receptionists are always very helpful and friendly. We are registered with Dr Rattan and I have nothing but praise for her. She is a fantastic doctor, very kind, caring and sympathetic. She always listens carefully to what you have to say and gives you all of the time you need. She carefully explains treatment to you and often writes down and prints things out for you, so that you know exactly what the planned course of treatment is. I feel I can trust her to know exactly what to do. She often goes the extra mile. The only difficulty is getting an appointment with her. Over the last year I have had to make a few appointments to see her for myself or my son and I have usually had to wait about 4-5 weeks for a pre bookable appointment with her. On my last appointment with her a few weeks ago she said that out of 30 patients she was seeing that morning only myself and my son were here patients. I realise that when doctors are on annual leave that other doctors cover their patients but I think that also, although the surgery prefer patients to see their registered doctor, I am not sure that this is what happens. I think that possibly some patients do not mind who they see and so book an online appointment with whichever doctor they can see. I am not sure how this could be improved, it is just frustrating to have to wait 5 weeks for an appointment to see My GP and I would much rather see Dr Rattan because she knows me and my son and so knows our medical history. Twice this year I have needed an on the day appointment for my son and myself and so we were given an appointment with the registrar. During my most recent on the day appointment I did not feel that the GP registrar engaged very well with us. She did not explain what she was doing to my son, whereas I am used to Dr Rattan talking to my son and explaining what she is doing and what her plan of action is. I also found that the doctor did not really answer the questions I asked or address my concerns. One medicine we were prescribed she said could only be taken once a day but it turns out when we saw Dr Rattan a few weeks later that it could be taken twice a day. I felt I did not come out from the appointment with the registrar feeling like we had a plan of action so had to make another one with Dr Rattan. I do realise that these doctors are GP's in training and that everyone has to start somewhere but this has been my experience on 2 occasions, when I have seen Registrar GP's. Both were different doctors and onn both occasions I had to make another appointment to see Dr Rattan. That aside Park Surgery is a very good Practice.

Very difficult to make an appointment within a few days, not alway urgent but usually about 3 weeks before you can see a doctor

My Doctor, Dr Logan is very helpful and caring to my needs. As I am being treated for Cancer I have had a quick response getting medication as needed. I have had good response from the receptionists.
