This morning I called for an emergency appointment. I was asked to come into surgery at 8:40. I explained that I had an ongoing medical issue and needed to see a GP. When I arrived I was booked with a nurse. I was then rebooked with a doctor having to wait for a further hour and 20 mins (so far).

The surgery is always very warm, especially the winter, myself and my baby both suffer from eczema so we get very hot and itchy when we are here. Please turn down the heating! Thank you.

I have had exemplary care from GP's, Nurses and HCA However on my visit today there were 3 people behind the reception area, I approached the desk the two receptionists were not busy and were chatting, I politely introduced myself/appointment time etc when one of them noticed me. However I was told I 'had' to register on the electronic board I explained I prefer not to use them. The younger of the 3 receptionists came out to me in a very overly confidant/'I don't have time for this manner' speaking quickly/impolitely and threatening me that if I did not register on the board 'I would be late and the Doctor would not see me' I explained I am 61 years of age and was not brought up on IT technology being taught wth a blackboard and chalk ( I also have arthritis in my hands) and prefer not to use the electronic register, bearing in mind that is my choice as a patient. She then informed me that English was not her first language but she HAD to learn it. I found her attitude discriminatory on the grounds of race, disability and age. Re: the question below with regard to my ethnic group : I am ethnically Irish but born in the UK
