I phoned on the Thursday and was advised to call back on the Friday for an appointment the same day or Monday. The receptionist I spoke to on Thursday was helpful, understanding and professional. The receptionist I spoke to on the telephone on Friday was the mirror opposite. Unhelpful, rude, discompassionate and difficult to talk to.

Have to ring at 8am and it can take ages to get through which makes me late for work, only to be told there are no appointments and to try again tomorrow. For this appointment I actually got through quicker than usual and got an appointment first time of trying

Let me make appointments when it's convenient for me, ie let me ring at a later time and make an appointment for another day

The surgery looks a bit uncared for, dated and tatty in places. When I originally rang for an appointment the receptionist couldn't understand what I saying, which was a problem when they're supposed 'triage' patients calls. At the reception in person, receptionists seemed complacent with their job and computer system and gave an air of not caring about patients.

Empathetic customer service training for non medical staff. Updates on appointments running late, mine was around 30 minutes late. If I'm in or heading to the waiting room would it hurt for someone to let me know? All he'll breaks loose when patients are late!! More friendly waiting rooms. I was alone in the basement in total silence for 20 mins.
