Paramedics called the surgery to request some antibiotics for me , which were prescribed and sent to my local pharmacy once these were collected I discovered they were penicillin which I am allergic to which is clearly stated on my records and has been for the past 13 years , I found this absolutely shocking and totally unacceptable that a Dr could make such a schoolboy error , the consequences of this could have been extremely serious if I had taken this medication, I have lost all faith in this Dr now , when I called the surgery and explained this to the receptionist I was basically fobbed off , so I know have no antibiotics to fight the chest infection I have and I'm extremely reluctant to ask for more medicine

The Dr was very helpful and listened to me about my symptoms. I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen.

This basically depends what time of day you call. If its 8 in the morning it takes ages to get through then you are about 15th in the queue then when finally speak to someone all appointments gone.

Be able to pre book appointments for future dates like it used to be

I felt the Dr wasn’t exploring all my options and opted for me to wait and see. Which I expressed I didn’t want another week of pain like the prior week of had. He called me later in the day to give me another option which is better, so overall this appeased my fear. Obviously at this point it’s unclear if the solution will work but I hope so. Al in all was a good experience.

Explore all option at the time but sometimes I suppose hindsight works too.
