I have had exemplary care from GP's, Nurses and HCA However on my visit today there were 3 people behind the reception area, I approached the desk the two receptionists were not busy and were chatting, I politely introduced myself/appointment time etc when one of them noticed me. However I was told I 'had' to register on the electronic board I explained I prefer not to use them. The younger of the 3 receptionists came out to me in a very overly confidant/'I don't have time for this manner' speaking quickly/impolitely and threatening me that if I did not register on the board 'I would be late and the Doctor would not see me' I explained I am 61 years of age and was not brought up on IT technology being taught wth a blackboard and chalk ( I also have arthritis in my hands) and prefer not to use the electronic register, bearing in mind that is my choice as a patient. She then informed me that English was not her first language but she HAD to learn it. I found her attitude discriminatory on the grounds of race, disability and age.
