The medical centre has always been very helpful and responsive. All the staff, nurses and GPs I have had dealings with are brilliant.
Not this time, but in previous occasions my immediate family have found it difficult to get face to face appointments, only over the telephone.
Telephone requests for appointments seem to work well but visited reception on one occasion for an additional appointment when symptoms changed. Request not granted & told to contact physiotherapy service before further appointment could be made. Have subsequently seen Ryan McDermott (physio) with good outcome.
I was offered a cancellation for an appointment with the nurse which was good , however she couldn’t help me and suggested I ask for a face to face appointment with a doctor . There was nothing available and I was asked to call the following Thursday to see if new appointments had been opened up . There is no guarantee one will be available then if I cannot call at 0830
That is potentially a long wait for a face to face appointment
Last year I found that it is not easy to get an appointment and the doctor seemed to be under time constraints when I did speak to her. This was not helpful to me as I had to go elsewhere to solve my problem.
This appointment from my recent visit was made for me by the Asthma Nurse during a telephone appointment. The nurse had it down as a face to face but I received a text that it was a telephone appointment.
